The Virginia Conference of the American Association of University Professors and the Faculty Senate of Virginia invite you to join us on Thursday, January 9, 2020, for the annual Virginia Higher Education Advocacy Day at the Virginia state capitol. We will once again visit the offices of our state legislators to advocate for our interests and the interests of higher education in the Commonwealth.
If you can, bring a student or three with you! Legislators always enjoy meeting with our students.
We will as always be active in support of legislation that would improve higher education and faculty status, and oppose legislation that would reduce the quality of higher education and/or erode faculty status and working conditions. Position papers will be posted here as soon as they are ready.
A light breakfast and lunch will be provided to participants (all free of charge). Please help us plan accordingly by registering at: https://forms.gle/eGGRinuYtZ7UfjBC7
