Meetings and Events

FSVA members meet three times per year. 

• Fall Meeting
  • This meeting is held in October and is currently hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University.
• Virginia Higher Education Day
  • This event is held in January, on the second day of the legislative session, and is hosted in collaboration with the AAUP and VCU.  Faculty from the commonwealth meet with legislators to advocate for higher education. 
• Spring Meeting
  • This meeting is held either in March or April and is hosted by an FSVA member institution. This meeting is sometimes held on the same day as the Virginia Conference of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) meeting.
